‘Making Easter Smiles for 345 kids' (edited to 396 kids)
March 20, 2021

"Kiwanis Club of Lapeer member Annette Turner co-chaired the annual donation drive Jelly-Beans and Smiles with fellow Kiwanian Terrie Ayala. An annual tradition since 2009, the Jelly-Beans & Smiles campaign will provide an Easter basket to 345 Lapeer County children in need. To date, more than 15,000 baskets have been provided to kids via donations from community members."

‘Rubber Duck Dash attracts more than 1,000 to Cramton Park for family-friendly event'

"It was a good day for ducks. The 3rd Annual Kiwanis Club of Lapeer Duck Dash was held Saturday at Cramton Park in Lapeer, and the event proved to fit the bill for a family-friendly excursion."

‘Kiwanis Club of Lapeer has big ambitions for the new year'
January 6, 2021

The new year, 2021, will be a year during which the club intends to “bring some happiness and fun back into everyone’s lives,” said Lambourn, while still continuing the work the club does for the community. Kapers will return in April, and the club will hold its third annual Rubber Duck Dash in September, an event that’s proven to be a hit for the club. In October, Kiwanis will organize and hold Fantasy Forest, a long-standing community event that will be shepherded by the club for the first time.”
