How The Race WorksAdopt-A-Duck - $5 each
You “adopt” a duck (or several preferably), essentially buying a raffle ticket as each rubber duck has a number corresponding to each “adoption certificate” (raffle ticket). Duck Security You will never actually touch or handle your duck. We keep those safe. Just retain the ticket stub or email with your duck number(s). Duck Drop On Race Day, all adopted ducks will be dropped into Farmers Creek on the west side of Cramton Park in downtown Lapeer. That’s just south of the Marguerite D’Angeli Library. How to Win The ducks will be dropped into the river from the Kiwanis-sponsored pedestrian bridge at Cramton Park. The river will carry the ducks approximately 100 meters to the finishing chute, just past the tennis courts. If your duck enters the chute first, you win 1st prize! If your duck enters second, you win 2nd prize, and so on until all prizes have been awarded. Just retain your ticket stub, email, or text with your duck adoption number(s)! Can't Come? No Problem You do not need to be present to win, but watching this great event is loads of fun, especially with all of the other fun activities for children and adults happening throughout the day! Prize Pickup You can pick up your prize winnings on Race Day, so come on down and join us! If, however, you cannot make Race Day, you will be notified of your win and will be able to pick up your prize(s) from ChoiceOne Bank, 83 W. Nepessing Street, Lapeer, MI 48446. Just retain your ticket stub, email, or text with your winning duck adoption number! |
